The Streak is over! Roll Tide Roll !

Well, we broke the streak. Roll Tide!!! As I have told you before we spend our Saturdays at Bryant-Denny Stadium when the Tide is at home. That is what we did yesterday. Bama vs. Auburn.

AU has beaten us the past 6 years. Man that is tough, but we won yesterday in a rout 36-0. Donna, Will and I took my Pop with us. He had not been to a game in years. We thought it would fun for him to attend this game. What a game to attend. It was awesome!

My Pop is a UofA fan, but would rather watch the games on the tv. However, he seemed to have a great time cheering the Tide on. I really think he liked watching all of us UofA fanatics go crazy. People watching for him may have been the best thing for him.

We tried to show him the ropes. We let him get the feel of gameday on the Capstone. We walked through the Strip just so he could see some crazys. We even saw a few AU fans braving the Tide nation. It was fun!!!

36-0. It couldn't have been any better. My wife, little boy and my Pop. A good day for a Bama fan. It doesn't get much better than that when it comes to a Saturday.

Roll Tide and beat the Gators!

Happy Thanksgiving

Well another Thanksgiving come and gone. Should it be? Should we just stop once a year and really give thanks? No. Absolutely not. You knew that answer already.

Over the last few days the Brown's have spent time eating and laughing with our family. Good times watching the kids play, celebrating birthdays that fall during this time of year and laughing at old stories. Fun. Real fun.

However, do we pause and really spend time being thankful?

Let me tell you what we do. This morning each of us had to name out loud 2 things we were thankful for. You know what? It was easy. Easy, because we try daily to thank God for those things that we are most thankful for.

Ok, no sermon. I will save that for Sunday, but each day should be a time of thankfulness to God for the blessings we receive. Regardless of tough times, each of us is blessed to some degree. Just stop and reflect. I bet you are too.

My list (not all but some):

1. Jesus - one cannot experience life, real life without a relationship with him. Thank you for giving your life, so that I may have life. True life.

2. Donna - what a wife. 14 years and going strong. My best friend. My calming influence. Beautiful, sassy and fun to be with. I really can wait to see her each night when I come home from the office.

3. Will - My baby boy. Ok, he turns 5 in a few days, but still my baby boy. We prayed for over 7 years for a child. It is like God decided to bless us extra for waiting so long. He is everything plus that I could have ever imagined in a child. The excitement for life I see in his eyes about everything he does is contagious. You can't help but feel his energy when you are near him.

4. Family - This includes my mom/dad, brother/sister, in-laws, etc.... It is nice that we enjoy seeing each other and spending time together. We can all sit down and eat. Enjoy ourselves and look forward to the next time. A special thanks to mom and pop. What an example for me to try and live my life by.

5. Friends - I enjoyed a run this morning with a buddy. My foot hurt, but it was still fun. Nothing better than a cool air run with a buddy. All of our friends are great. Each of you bring different qualities to our life and we appreciate you. God has been good to put you in our lives.

6. Career - God blessed me 15 years ago when he opened a door at SF for me. Man what a blessing. Yes, I am a nerd. Each day is fun for me. I love being at the office. I love helping others.

7. USA - Man, can we live in a better place. Thanks to each of you that provided the freedoms we enjoy. A special prayer today to those away serving while we are at home. Sacrafice. Thank you.

Ok, just a few. I could go on, but I want. I do encourage you to sit down and just write a few down. I found that when I wrote them down there were many more than anticipated.

May God bless each one of you. Oh, I am thankful for you.

Roll Tide!

Roll Tide!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, we sat in the cold and misty rain last night to watch the Tide. Another victory moves us to 11-0 on the year. Auburn left in the regular season. Man, I hope we win.

Last nights game against Miss St was great. Will actually skipped and stayed at Gram's and Pop's with Chloe and Anna Jane. We took our youth pastor, Joe Cotton and his son, Logan. Logan had never been to a game. Much less a night game at Bryant Denny.

You take for granted the sights and sounds of a Bama game until someone that has never gone comes with you. He loved the experience! I think we make a Bama fan out of him.

Hey, it was cold. I can't remember being that cold in the last few seasons.

It was a good night. Another victory. Roll Tide!!! BEAT AUBURN!!!

Update on Will

Will continues to grow big. He got his first big boy haircut this week. Grams seems to think he looks alot like me. Probably so, but Will Brown is an original. He has the best little personality and loves to be around people.

School is going good for Will. He is learning alot in his pre-school and likes his teacher, Mrs. Smith. So far, Will says that he has not gotten in trouble. We find that hard to believe, but that is what he says. Now, he and Tom, his buddy both say that a little girl their class gets in time out a lot. Apparently, she doesn't mind all the time.

Well, I guess that is enough for now. I hope you like the picture of Will's new haircut. As you can see, he continues to grow and is still a very good looking young boy.

Will's pets

Well, it has been a few weeks since we last updated everyone on Will's new puppy. Buzz II or Little Buzz or Baby Buzz as he is know is doing well. Will really likes him alot. As you can tell from the photo below he looks like the original Buzz.

Little Buzz is growing everyday and loves to play with Will. He also has another buddy, Co Co. Co Co is Will's cat. They appear to be big buddys and sleep in the same bed every night. I think they snuggle to keep each other warm.

Pal still hangs around the house. He seems to be waiting on Buzz to get a little bigger, so they can play. Bean also still comes around and likes to fight with everyone. Buzz is a little small right now, but should be able to keep up with the big boys in a few more weeks.

It is funny to see Buzz eat. After he eats his little belly swells up real big. He can barely walk after he eats.

We all miss the original Buzz, but we love Little Buzz. Stop by and see us sometime and play with our puppy, Buzz.
